I remember my early days as an erotica writer, scouring the ERWA website. I wondered how folks got to a place where they were blogging there. Well, now I’m one of them. Starting this month, I blog on the 15th of the month at the Erotica Readers and Writer’s Association. It’s a great honor.
This month I wrote about considering editing feedback, and deciding what to take in. In particular, about getting feedback to add more detail or explanation to your story. I talk about my experiences with this, and why it sometimes is not such a good idea to add more detail, especially if you are writing an insider story about and for marginalized and oppressed folks. (As much of my writing centers and is written for an audience of kinky queers who are trans, genderqueer, fat, disabled, sick and/or trauma survivors, I mostly write insider stories.)
